Makeshift
Mountain |
|
Makeshift Mountain is Just what it
says it is! Makeshift. Satan creates before us what appears to be
a mountain. And he makes it look as if it is impassable. It is a
road block that appears to have stopped our progress. Has it? That
is entirely up to you! Remember, NEVER run from Satan. Stand your
ground! Psalm 40:2 says that He
set my feet on a rock and established my goings. That rock is
Jesus Christ! We need not back down from Satan; for greater is He
that is in me than He that is in the world! Don’t let the devil
discourage you or hinder your path. For Jesus is the Truth and the
Light. He is our Strength, our Refuge, our Defense, our Mighty
Rock. Our Help in time of need! So stand up! Look up! And lift up
Jesus! For Satan has no power over us!! “Let everything that
hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord!” (Psalm
150:6)

The group will be ministering at Vestal
Baptist Church in Knoxville tonight at 6pm. Be sure to pray
for them, as well as those they will be ministering to. Don’t
for get that they will be recording their first CD on the 18th.
Continue to pray for them as God uses them to spread the good
news!

Ladies'
Group |
|
The
Ladies’ group is collecting new handkerchiefs and booties for
the nursing home. If you would like to donate please bring your
items in by the 21st.
We
will be shopping for our adopted families on Thursday the 16th at
6pm.
We
will be wrapping the gift on the 21st at 6pm.
We
will deliver the gifts to the adopted families and to the
nursing home on the 23rd at 6pm.
If
these dates and times are not good for you please see Lisa
Simcox and alternate arrangements may be made.

- CHRISTmas Play:
- There is only one more
practice before the Christmas play! The final play practice
will be this Tuesday (the 14th) at 6:30pm. If you have a part
or if you are helping with the play, please try to be here and
take advantage of this final opportunity to practice.
- The play will be Sunday,
December 19th at 6pm.
- The Ladies’ and the Youth
groups are still taking donations so they can help the needy
families this Christmas. They are only $300.00 away from their
goal but time is running out! Christmas is just a week away.
Please donate and help to Make this Christmas a happier time
for someone in need. If God has blessed you (Hasn’t He?),
why not allow Him to use you to bless someone else!

has been laid off for several months , God has supplied our family’s
every need. And now, he has given Tommy a full time job! Thank you
Lord!
