Salvation
Station |

“I have fought a good fight, I
have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith:” (2 Timothy
4:7)
This week we enter “Salvation
Station”, the last stop on our wagon trail! Have we finished our
coarse? Are you truly rolling into “Salvation Station” or are
you still sitting comfortably on your pew in “Dodge”? Did you
freeze up at “Intimidation Creek” or stall in “Doubt Valley”?
Did you decide to stay behind and enjoy “Revival River” or
Glory Gap”?
Get up! Get moving! If you are a
born again believer, Jesus has a job for you! Your job is to
spread the gospel! Even though we are at the last stop, you don’t
have to give up! You MUST NOT give up! If you are still trying to
get around “Stumbling Rock” or out of “Pitfall Canyon”,
keep trying! Even if you have never left “Dodge”, it’s still
not too late!!! Get up! Take the first step for Jesus! He has
promised to be with you every step of the way!
“Go ye therefore, and teach
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
[even] unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
Thank you to all who donated to
help those in need this Christmas. Thank you for sharing His
blessings... and His love!
In Christ,
Pastor
Tony Sutton

Are
You God's Wife?
|
|
Sometimes we lead in ways that we
don't realize are bringing others closer to God. Recently I read
an incident that occurred when a man was working in a shoe store
in Nova Scotia. The man said that he noticed a barefoot little boy
outside the baker's shop next door to the shoe store. The boy was
trying to keep warm by standing on a hot air register outside the
bakery. The man watching was uncertain about what to do about the
little boy when a middle-aged lady came by. She spoke to the child
and then brought him into the shoe store where she purchased shoes
and socks for him.
The child asked the lady,
"Are you God's wife?"
She replied, "No, son, I'm
just one of His children."
"Well, I knew you must be
some kin to Him," he remarked as he thanked her and left.
That unknown lady was a leader for the cause of Christ, and the
little boy and the man watching were able to recognize some
Christ-like qualities in her.
Can Christ-like qualities be
seen in you?
Are you “kin to Him”? Does
it show? |
