never to early to get started! If you would like to help in VBS
this year, please see Bonnie Smith or Shirley Williams. We still
need teachers and other workers.
Please
save your white,
1 gallon
milk jugs for one of the VBS crafts.
There
will be a yard sale to raise money for VBS expenses on Saturday,
April 30th. If you have good used items that you no longer need
(don’t we all) please donate them for the yard sale.

Teen
Girls in Fellowship
Megan
Sutton is organizing a teen girls’ study group!
The
group will meet in the Fellowship hall every Thursday night at
6:30. Each meeting will include Bible study, Bible quizzes &
games and prayer. If you are a young lady between the ages of 8
and 18, please bring your Bible and join us in study, fellowship
and fun! If you would like to take notes please bring a pen and
paper.
Announcements
· New
Center Christian School will
be performing the play “Judgement Seat” Wednesday the 23rd (that’s
this week)
at 7pm. Please plan to attend and show your support and
appreciation for those who have worked so hard to prepare for this
event.
· Beginning
this week... On
the last Saturday in every month, there will be an officers’
meeting from 8:00 until 9:00am. If you hold an office in the
church please be here this Saturday (the 26th) at 8am.
· We
are having an Easter
celebration this
Saturday afternoon from 12:00-2:00. We’ll be having an egg hunt
and a puppet skit for the children. We’ll be having hot dogs for
lunch. Please plan to attend and bring
a bag of candy to
hand out to the kids.
· We
will have a Sunrise
Service
next
Sunday morning at 6:00am. Following the sunrise service we will
have breakfast in the fellowship hall. Ladies,
if you haven’t signed up to bring a breakfast dish, please see
the list on the bulletin board and add your name.

Church
Thank
you again for allowing us to bring Jr. Church out in the
"big" church. We certainly enjoyed having all the
adults participate in worship with us. Thank you also to all of
those that have contributed to Jr. Church by bringing snacks,
paper goods, gifts for the box, offering and most of all your
prayers. We are so grateful to have Tommy and Shirley Stanton
helping us, as you saw there are lots of things to help with and
they are great helpers.
This
week we will be presenting a skit introducing the story of the
entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, called Rock Talk. The skit
addresses the part of the story about the rocks crying out if the
people didn't praise Jesus. We will be teaching about the
crucifixion and the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. What an awesome time of the year for us Christians to
ponder on the things that our Lord has done for us.
Pray
that we will always conduct Jr. Church in a way that is pleasing
to the Lord. Thank you for keeping us all in your prayers. God

"big" church ,we will not have any Jr. Church next

Is Cheaper
A
woman took her two small boys and a daughter to see Peter Pan at
the matinee one Saturday afternoon. The tickets were two dollars
and fifty cents each. The young daughter watched as the mother
pushed ten one dollar bills under the window and received four
tickets.
The
next day the same mother and daughter were at church. When the
collection was taken the child saw her mother open her purse, take
out a quarter, and put it in the plate as it passed them.
The
little girl looked up at her mother and in a clear stage whisper
which everyone around could hear said, "Mother, church is a
lot cheaper than a movie, isn't it?
If
you paid your bills as faithfully as you pay your tithes would
your electricity still be on?
If
you paid your tithes as faithfully as you pay your bills would the
church be in need?
A
more efficient budget will not solve the financial struggles of
the church.
A
more faithful Christian will.
