Rwandan
Man's Confession
|
|
In
1980 a young man from Rwanda was forced by his tribe to either
renounce Christ or face certain death. He refused to renounce
Christ, and he was killed on the spot. The night before he had
written the following commitment which was found in his room:
“I’m
part of the fellowship of the unashamed, the die has been cast, I
have stepped over the line, the decision has been made- I’m a
disciple of Jesus Christ. I won’t look back, let up, slow down,
back away or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure.
I’m finished and done with low living, sight walking, smooth
knees, colorless dreams, tamed vision, worldly talking, cheap
giving & dwarfed goals.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is
narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is
reliable, my mission is clear. I won’t give up, shut up, let up
until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up for the cause of
Jesus Christ.
I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till everyone
knows, work till He stops me & when He comes for His own, He
will have no trouble recognizing me because my banner will have
been clear.”
What
an awesome witness to leave behind!
What
will you leave behind?
|
|
“For
I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at
hand. (7)
I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I
have kept the faith: (8)
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me
at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love
his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:6-8

Junior
Church
|
We
want to thank all of you who contribute to Junior Church each
week. Whether it be in service, supplies, or snacks. We have been
very busy these past few weeks. Due to the support for Junior
Church, we have been able to purchase 8 brand new puppets, 10 hard
back drill Bibles, A Christian and American Flag with stand,
office supplies for our brochure and cards to hand out (These will
be available soon), and storage boxes. Also the treasure boxes
have been replenished. Praise the Lord! We are soooo blessed.
This week the theme is a lesson on slothfulness. As always we
request your prayers.
With 8 new puppets, we would need some people just to puppets. If
your interested just get with Bobby or April.
(4 girl puppets and 4 boy puppets) There is so much being planned:
A Music CD with Songs of Junior Church.
(Coming soon) The Junior Church part of the web-site is about to
take a new look. This is still in the planning stage, so keep this
in your prayers. We love you New Center Baptist Church. You are
such a blessing to us.
