Hi. My name is April Sutton. I'm 32 years old. I've lived here in
Tennessee all my life. I am so thankful that God has given our
family an opportunity serve him at New Center Baptist Church. God
has done so much for me. Growing up He made sure there were always
grandparents there to encourage me to go to church and learn more
about Him. Even with all their encouragement though, I chose to live
a life out of church and apart from Christ while in my teens and
early twenties. These were long hard spent years. During this time I
would get married and divorced and move back home with my parents
with my children. I was 25. I was depressed. I felt like a failure.
I knew there had to be more than this. I was searching for
something. I began to have a desire to go to church. My children had
never been before. I went even though I didn't know exactly why. I
had only the understanding of a child about God because that is
where my study of him had left off. All I had up to that point was
the stories that I had studied in Sunday School. I didn't think
about salvation. I thought I was saved because I use to go to church
when I was a kid, I use to be in Christmas plays as a kid, I even
knew a couple of verses of scripture. But one Sunday morning the
invitation came after the sermon at the church we had been visiting
and I knew I was lost, even though I had always told everyone that I
had been saved because of the things that I mentioned earlier plus I
thought that If you didn't do awful terrible things that proved you
were saved, but that morning I knew I was lost and in need of a
Savior. I went forward and at 25 years old I accepted Jesus as that
Savior. Not only has God forgiven me and given me eternal life, He
has given me a wonderful husband, Bobby Sutton, that loves and
serves the Lord. He has given me two very sweet children, Connor-12
and Rachel-11 and both love and serve the Lord. In these things
alone I have the riches that only some dream of. I thank God for all
He has done for me. I know that my life will be spent in service to
the one who died in my place. One day I will thank Him face to face.
God Bless You. 2 Corinthians 5:17

in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother
