JUDGES 16:1-31 FIRST LOVE
A) Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and
with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this
is the first commandment.
B) John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
C) Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without
strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. WORLDLY LOVE
A) TITUS 2:12 SAMSON CHOSE A WOMAN OUT OF
LUST CALLING IT LOVE
B) DELILAH CHOSE TO LOVE HIM FOR LOVE OF MONEY
I TIMOTHY 6:10
C) "LOVE IS BLIND" DESPITE THE NUMEROUS
SIGNS SAMSON STILL REFUSED TO SEE (JUST AS SATAN
PLANS IT)
1. SAMSON HAD GROWN INVINCIBLE
2. DELILAH SMOOTH TALKED SAMSON
3. SAMSON GAVE INTO POUTING (TRICKERY) COST OF SIN
A) JUDGES 16:20 ... I will go out as at other
times before, and shake myself....
POWER WITH GOD
B) Jud 16:21 But the Philistines took him, and put
out his eyes,
TOOK AWAY HIS VISION
C) Jud 16:21...... bound him with
fetters.....
STRIPPED HIM OF HIS DIGNITY
D) LOST HIS WITNESS
E) Jud 16:23 Then the lords of the Philistines
gathered them together for to offer a great
sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice:
for they said, Our god hath delivered Samson our
enemy into our hand. SAMSON HAS NOW BROUGHT AN
OPEN REPROACH UNTO GOD AS THEY MADE SPORT OF HIM
F) LAST BUT NOT LEAST SAMSON LOST HIS LIFE
SAMSON
PLAYED WITH THE DEVIL AND LOST. HE LOST
EVERYTHING. NO DOUBT HE THOUGHT HE COULD HANDLE IT
AND IT WOULD NOT GO THAT FAR. HE WAS SO BLINDED
THAT DELILAH WAS ABLE TO ASK HIM WHERE HIS
STRENGTH LIE AND CALL OUT THAT THE PHILISTINES ARE
UPON HIM, AND HE STILL COULD NOT SEE WHAT WAS
GOING ON. HAS SATAN EVER HAD YOU TO THE POINT THAT
YOU COULD NOT SEE THE OBVIOUS? HAS SATAN EVER
STOLE YOUR VISION? John 15:13 Greater love hath no
man than this, that a man lay down his life for
his friends. THIS IS TRUE LOVE.
