"HELP & HOPE

PEOPLE ARE HURTING AND NEED HELP
AND HOPE. WHERE IS THE HELP, WHERE IS THE HOPE? IS IT AT CHURCH?
CAN PEOPLE FIND HELP AND HOPE AT CHURCH? DO WE HAVE WHAT THE LOST
ARE LOOKING FOR? DO WE HAVE WHAT THE NEEDY ARE SEARCHING FOR? DO
WE HAVE THE HOPE THAT PEOPLE NEED? DOES OUR CHURCH OFFER WHAT THE
WORLD NEEDS, OR ARE WE JUST TICKLING EARS? WE NEED TO MAKE SURE
THAT WHEN PEOPLE GATHER AT NEW CENTER BAPTIST, WE HAVE WHAT THEY
NEED. GOD HAS FREELY GIVEN US THE RESOURCES TO HELP THOSE IN NEED,
IT BEHOOVES US TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE ON HAND, THOSE ITEMS, READY TO
BE DISTRIBUTED.

HELP
|
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come
boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and
find grace to help in time of need.
OFTEN PEOPLE COME TO THE CHURCH FOR HELP, OF ONE KIND OR ANOTHER.
SOMETIMES THEY WILL APPROACH YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL, REGARDLESS OF
THE WAY PEOPLE COME, THEY ALL ARE SEARCHING FOR HELP. THE KIND OF
HELP WE DELIVER IS UP TO US. WE CAN GIVE THEM $20 AND SEND THEM ON
THEIR WAY OR PET THEM AND FEEL SORRY FOR THEM THEN SEND THEM ON,
OR WE CAN LOOK DEEPER. WE HAVE TO LOOK DEEPER THAN THE WORDS
EXITING THE MOUTH AND LOOK INTO THE HEART FOR THE REAL NEED.
PEOPLE ARE HURTING AND NEED HELP. YOU MAY SAY, WELL I'M NOT A
COUNSELOR. YOU MAY NOT BE, HOWEVER IF YOU BELONG TO GOD, YOU HAVE
THE ANSWERS. WE NEED TO LEARN THAT WE CAN GO TO GOD AND GET HELP.
NOW PEOPLE CAN SAY WHAT THEY WANT ABOUT QUALIFICATIONS, AND I DO
THINK WE NEED TO GET ALL THE EDUCATION WE CAN, BUT THERE IS
NOTHING LIKE GOD SPEAKING TO US AND GIVING DIVINE DIRECTION. HIS
WORD TELLS US TO ASK, TO SEEK, TO KNOCK, WHAT MORE DOES HE NEED TO
SAY. GOD LOVES US AND WANTS TO HELP, JUST LET HIM.

HOPE |
2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the
flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but
mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that
exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into
captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
DO WE HAVE HOPE? WE SHOULD SHOW PEOPLE, BY OUR ACTIONS, THE HOPE
WE HAVE IN CHRIST JESUS. FOLKS SHOULD BE ABLE TO LOOK AT OUR LIVES
AND SEE HOW THAT WE DEPEND ON JESUS FOR ALL THINGS. WE SHOULD NOT
FALL APART AT EVERY THING THAT COMES OUR WAY, AND WONDER WHAT IN
THE WORLD WILL WE DO. PEOPLE NEED TO SEE STABILITY, THEY NEED TO
SEE YOU AND I TRUSTING GOD FOR EVERYTHING. THEY NEED TO SEE THE
GOD IN OUR LIVES THAT WE SAY CAN BE IN THEIR LIVES.

QUESTION?

IF OUR LIVES WERE A STORE, WOULD WE
HAVE THE PRODUCTS, IN STOCK, THAT A PERSON WOULD NEED TO PROSPER?
