'" BASIC PARENTING "

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
THE
FAMILY
1) FIRST, GOD SET THE FAMILY UP AS A MALE AND FEMALE
COUPLE.
MANY VIEW THE
MARRIAGE AS A CHOICE. SOME THINK YOU MAY HAVE BEEN BORN
HOMOSEXUAL (BIG LIE FROM SATAN). ALLOW ME TO SHARE ONE
VERSE THAT WILL SHED SOME LIGHT ON THE THOUGHT.
Leviticus
18:22
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it
is abomination.
2) SECONDLY, YOU WILL FIND THAT GOD SET THE FAMILY UP IN
A WAY THAT SOMEONE IS IN CHARGE, OR RESPONSIBLE.
Eph
5:22 Wives,
submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the
Lord.
Eph
5:23 For
the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is
the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the
body.
Eph
5:24 Therefore
as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives
be to their own husbands in every thing.
3) THIRDLY, THE FAMILY SHOULD BE GOOD EXAMPLES, BOTH
SPIRITUALLY AND IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES.
1Thessalonians 3:5
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent
to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have
tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
Hebrews
3:13
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day;
lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of
sin.
THE
PARENTS
1)
FIRST, PARENTS SHOULD LEAD BY EXAMPLE.
Galatians
6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap.
2) SECONDLY, BOTH PARENTS NEED TO BE SPIRITUALLY FIT.
1Timothy
4:8 For
bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is
profitable unto all things, having promise of the life
that now is, and of that which is to come.
3) THIRDLY, GOD MUST BE NUMBER ONE IN BOTH OUR HOME
LIFE, CHURCH LIFE AND EVERYDAY LIFE. CHILDREN ARE LITTLE
MOMS AND DADS.
Joshua
24:15 And
if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you
this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your
fathers served that were on the other side of the flood,
or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but
as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
PARENTS
HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY OFTEN TAKEN LIGHTLY. THE BIRTH OF
A CHILD BRINGS HAPPINESS AND JOY. WE SOON FIND THAT WITH
CHILDREN JOYS CAN BECOME HEARTACHES AND SORROWS. AS WE
GROW WE LEARN TO ADAPT TO THE CHALLENGES OF PARENTHOOD.
WE WANT OUR CHILDREN TO BE THE SMARTEST, THE MOST
ATHLETIC, AND ACHIEVE THE HIGHEST OF GOALS. WE THINK
DOCTORS, LAWYERS, THE PRESIDENT, THE LIST GOES ON AND
ON. THE ONE THING A LOT OF PARENTS OVER LOOK IS THEIR
CHILD'S SPIRITUAL WELL BEING. WHILE IT IS GREAT TO WISH
THE BEST FOR OUR CHILDREN'S EARTHLY FUTURE, THEIR
ETERNAL FUTURE IS MORE IMPORTANT. WE WILL SPEND
THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON OUR CHILDREN IN SPORTS, SCHOOL,
GAMES, VEHICLES, AND WHAT EVER ELSE THEY DESIRE, BUT
OFTEN THINK THAT SALVATION WILL JUST APPEAR SOMEDAY.
WELL, WE NEED TO BE INVESTING IN OUR CHALDERNS FUTURE
WITH ALL THAT WE ARE AND WITH ALL THAT WE HAVE. MONEY
WILL BUY THINGS, BUT ONLY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST WILL BUY
SALVATION. AS MUCH AS WE LOVE OUR CHILDREN, DO WE LOVE
THEM ENOUGH TO SUBMIT TO GOD, AND RAISE THEM IN A GODLY
HOME. IT MAY SEEM THAT WE HAVE A LONG TIME TO GET READY.
