'" CHOICES "

7:24 And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the
son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the
wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his
oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and
all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley
of Achor.
Dan 6:24 And the king commanded, and they brought those
men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into
the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives;
and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all
their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of
the den.
IN THE SCRIPTURE WE FIND THAT GOD HOLDS US ACCOUNTABLE
FOR OUR ACTIONS. MANY TIMES WE FIND THAT IT NOT ONLY
AFFECTS THE ONE AT FAULT, BUT ALSO THOSE AROUND US.
ACHAN SAW THE TREASURES AND THEY SPARKLED IN HIS EYE,
HOWEVER GOD HAD ALREADY TOLD THEM NOT TO TAKE OF THE
ACCURSED THING. SATAN PAINTS A PRETTY PICTURE, BUT FAILS
TO ALLOW YOU TO SEE THE REALITY. IT COST ACHAN HIS LIFE
AND HIS FAMILY'S LIFE. WE ALSO FIND IN DANIEL THAT GREED
AND SELFISHNESS COST SEVERAL PEOPLE THEIR LIVES. WE
OFTEN THINK THAT IT IS MY LIFE AND WHAT I DO AFFECTS NO
ONE BUT ME, BUT I AM HERE TO TELL YOU THAT EVERY THING
WE DO AFFECTS US AND OTHERS.
Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what
must I do to be saved?
Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Act 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord,
and to all that were in his house.
Act 16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night,
and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all
his, straightway.
Act 16:34 And when he had brought them into his house,
he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God
with all his house.
WE FIND IN ACTS THAT ANOTHER DECISION WAS MADE, HOWEVER
THIS DECISION BROUGHT ON A DIFFERENT RESULT. THE GUARD
CHOOSE TO ACCEPT WHAT GOD HAD TO OFFER, RATHER THAN TO
REJECT HIM. WE HAVE A CHOICE TO MAKE EVERY DAY, EITHER
TO ACCEPT OR REJECT GOD'S OFFER. |
