'" HOW BIG IS YOUR GOD"

Gen
18:9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife?
And he said, Behold, in the tent.
Gen 18:10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee
according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife
shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door,
which was behind him.
Gen 18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well
stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after
the manner of women.
Gen 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself,
saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my
lord being old also?
Gen 18:13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did
Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child,
which am old?
Gen 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the
time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the
time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
Gen 18:15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for
she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.
GOD
SENT ANGELS TO ABRAHAM. THEY WERE TO TELL ABRAHAM OF THE
NATIONS TO COME. THEY MADE IT A POINT TO CALL SARAH'S
NAME. THIS WAS TO ALERT SARAH TO LISTEN. THE ANGELS THEN
BEGAN TO TELL ABRAHAM OF THE NEXT VISIT. THEY SAID THE
NEXT TIME THEY CAME IT WOULD BE IN HER TIME OF LIFE.
MEANING THAT SARAH WAS GOING TO GIVE BIRTH TO A CHILD.
SARAH BEING WELL STRICKEN IN YEARS OR OLD SHE LAUGHED
WITHIN HERSELF. THE ANGELS CALLED HER ON IT. SHE DENIED
THAT SHE LAUGHED. THE ANGEL REASSURED HER THAT SHE DID
INDEED LAUGH. NOW WE MAY THINK THAT NO ONE KNOWS OF OUR
UNBELIEF, BUT GOD DOES. WE MUST ALSO LOOK AT THE FACT
THAT THE ANGELS ASK ABRAHAM, WHY DID SARAH LAUGH? WELL,
IT MAY BE BECAUSE ABRAHAM FAILED TO MENTION THE PROMISE,
THAT GOD GAVE HIM PRIOR TO THIS EVENT. IT IS IMPORTANT
TO ASK AS TO WHY WE LAUGH. IS IT BECAUSE OF JOY, OR
BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF, BECAUSE THESE UNBELIEF'S ARE A
GREAT OFFENCE TO GOD. I BELIEVE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT
THAT WE TAKE SERIOUS THE PROMISES OF GOD, AND HIS
ABILITY TO GRANT THEM. HOW DO WE ACT WHEN SOMEONE SAYS
THAT GOD WILL DO THIS OR THAT FOR US? MY WIFE AND I
RECENTLY WENT TO THE OLD MILL RESTURANT IN PIGEON FORGE.
WE PULLED THROUGH THE LOT UNDECIDED AS TO WHETHER WE
WOULD EAT THERE OR SOMEWHERE ELSE. WE CHOSE TO TURN OUR
NAME IN. WHEN WE PARKED IT WAS IN THE FRONT ROW, WHERE
WE WERE ABLE TO SIT IN OUR VAN AND WAIT FOR A SEAT. WE
ENJOYED A GREAT CONVERSATION WITH ONE ANOTHER. ONE OF
THE THINGS THAT WE TALKED ABOUT WAS HOW IT WOULD BE SO
ROMANTIC IF WE COULD GET A SEAT ON THE RIVER. WELL, GOD
HAD AREADY GIVEN US A FRONT ROW PARKING SPOT, WHERE WE
COULD WAIT COMFORTABLY AND ENJOY EACH OTHER, WHY COULD
HE NOT DO THIS THING? I ASK GOD TO GRANT THIS THING FOR
US. WHEN OUR NAME WAS CALLED WE WENT IN AND WAS LED
UPSTAIRS TO THE TERACE, WHERE WE WERE SEATED BY THE
RIVER. I HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE REQUEST BY THIS TIME,
BUT QUICKLY REMEMBERED WHEN THE HOST POINTED TO OUR
SEAT. YOU MAY THINK THIS IS SILLY, BUT IN PSALMS THE
BIBLE SAYS; Psa
37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give
thee the desires of thine heart. TO
RECEIVE THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART YOU MUST FIRST BELIEVE
THAT GOD CAN AND WILL DO IT FOR YOU. I KNOW IF I NEED
THE WATER PARTED HE WILL DO IT. IF I NEED TO WALK ON
WATER HE WILL GRANT IT. IF I NEED A GREAT BLESSING OR
JUST A SMALL BLESSING, IT DOES NOT MATTER TO GOD. HE CAN
TOUCH ME WITH JUST A FINGER OR HIS WHOLE HAND. THAT'S
THE GOD I SERVE. HE IS A GREAT BIG GOD WITH A GREAT BIG
LOVE. HOW BIG IS YOUR GOD? AND ARE YOU LAUGHING AT HIM?
