"WILT THOU BE MADE WHOLE"

5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went
up to Jerusalem.
Joh 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a
pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having
five porches.
Joh 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of
blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
AS
WE LOOK AT THE IMPOTENT FOLK, WE CAN INDEED SEE THE
SIMILIARITY OF SIN SICK FOLK. MANY ARE SPIRITUALY BLIND,
HALT AND WITHERED. THEY TOO ARE WAITING FOR A STIRRING.
Joh 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the
pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the
troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of
whatsoever disease he had.
Joh 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity
thirty and eight years.
MANY
ARE WAITING AND WATCHING FOR A STIRRING OF THE WATER. I
THINK THAT MANY OF THEM HAD BEGUN TO SEE THE WATER AS THE
HEALER.
Joh 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been
now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou
be made whole?
WILT
THOU BE MADE WHOLE, IS THE QUESTION THAT JESUS ASK THE
IMPOTENT MAN. WHAT WE NEED TO REALIZE IS THAT JESUS CAN MAKE
US WHOLE WITHOUT ALL THE BELLS AND WISTLES.
Joh 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man,
when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but
while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
JUST AS THE IMPOTENT MAN BEGAN TO EXPLAIN TO JESUS WHY
THAT HE COULD NOT BE MADE WHOLE, WE GIVE EXCUSES AS TO WHY
WE CAN NOT BE MADE WHOLE. ALSO WE NEED TO VISIT THE FACT
THAT THIS MAN HAD BEEN HERE FOR 38 YEARS. HE SAID THAT HE
HAD NO MAN TO HELP HIM IN, AND EACH TIME THE WATERS WERE
TROUBLED SOMEONE WOULD GET HIS WAY. I PRAY THAT I AM NEVER
IN THE WAY OF SOMEONE BEING FREED. DO YOU EVER THINK ABOUT
THE MANY THAT ARE BY THE WAYSIDE, SAVED OR LOST AND THEY ARE
JUST ABOUT TO REPENT, OR ACCEPT CHRIST AND YOU STEP IN FRONT
OF THEM WITH A HELLISH LIFE STYLE OR A LIBERAL ATTITUDE AND
THAT PERSON PASSES UP THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE SAVED. WOE UNTO
THE MAN THAT BECOMES A STUMBLING BLOCK.
Eze 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should
make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the
land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
THE
WORD SAYS THAT HE SOUGHT FOR A MAN THAT WOULD STAND IN THE
GAP AND MAKE UP THE HEDGE, BUT HE FOUND NONE. HOW SAD IS IT
TO KNOW THAT PEOPLE ARE ON THIER WAY TO HELL AND NOT CARE.
IS THERE ANY THAT WILL STAND IN THE GAP, ANY THAT WILL MAKE
UP THE HEDGE?
Joh 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and
walk.
Joh 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up
his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
KNOW THIS AND KNOW IT WELL. JESUS WILL SET YOU FREE.
DON'T WAIT ON SOME SPECIAL OCCASION, KNOW THAT IF THE
SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS DRAWING YOU, YOU SHALL BE SET FREE IF
YOU WILL ONLY ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR. KNOW THAT YOU CAN
TAKE UP YOUR BED AND WALK, BECAUSE IMMEDIATLY YOU WILL BE
MADE WHOLE.
